Lets face it, we all hate teenagers. We hate their clothes and their faces. We hate their ideology, their essence. Basically, we hate everything about them. But let's be fair here, we were teenagers once. There was a time when we walked out our front doors and looked toward the sky and felt the immortality, the righteous feeling that the universe would soon belong to us, because goddammit, we are the rightful heirs to this golden throne that reigns over the vast kingdom of mankind. You owe this to us! But then, as your family celebrates your high school graduation at the Outback Steakhouse on Pecos and Flamingo, and your dad is paying the bill, you realize that maybe they didn’t owe us anything, no throne, no future. Maybe all they really owed us was a dry-ass steak with overcooked broccoli. You know, after writing this... maybe I don't hate teenagers as much as I though I did. You know whom I really hate? College students.
lyrics
I was a teenage teenager
hanging in the ditches with the dogs
jumping over someone else's walls
I didn't know a thing at all
I was a terrible teenager
burning all the bushes in the fields
looking for the things that I could kill
killing all the feelings that I felt
and dealing with those killings was a drag
t-t-teenager
t-t-teenager
15 and a 17
14 and a 19
15 and a 16
well I was ditching when I was 13
I was a television teenager
flipping through the channels on the boob tube
never ever cleaning up my room
I didn't even try to use no vacuum
t-t-teenager
t-t-teenager
t-t-teenager
t-t-teenager
t-t-teenager
t-t-teenager
